I recently bought a model 41 as part of a revolver deal. I have never owned a model 41 before and am basically ignorant about them. Anyway the serial # is A192XXX which puts it at about 1973-74 DOB. This pistol has a cocking indicator, one magazine & appears to have seen very little use. The previous owner said that it also has an extendable front sight. Can someone explain how this works or can tell from the photos if it does in fact have this feature? This also came with a box,but nothing else except for the scope you see mounted. It is an old Bushnell Phanton Magnum 1.3X. Finish is probably about 98%.The only apparent defect is someone relieved a bit of wood from the left grip around the slide release. Also, is this considered to be a heavy barrel? Barrel appears to be 5 1/2".Any idea of current value? Thanks!
