Concensus...? LOL!! No... but there is a myriad of choices for cheap Chinese made red dots under $100 (under $50 really).

For co-witness, a 3/4 inch riser will be required for red dots that don't come with a tall mount. Those that come with tall mounts are typically designed to co-witness with ARs which will work for your rifle. There are also a lot of magnified red dots to chose from but they won't co-witness.

The 'clones' are typically a bit more expensive for Tacticool requirements rather than performance.

Tube size and dot size are the two basic choices to make. Most of the cheap Chinese stuff has 5MOA dots. Though, NcStar has a large selection of smaller 3MOA red dot sights. Barska probably has the widest range of cheap scopes to chose from. There's a ton of choices from a great number of label names but I think they come from the same Chinese labor camps. Find one you like the looks of or is in the right price range for you and it'll work just fine.
