Sorry, I think it's a bit twisted and says more about what Dad wanting to attract attention through his performing kid than anything else. I saw that done before with a 13 yr. old kid competing in IPSC and it was strange then. Sort of like the 12-13 yr. old girl who was going to fly cross-country a few years back and crashed in a storm in Cheyenne.

Some things are just inappropriate. The hid ought to be shooting a .22 rifle with Dad and then going out for a happy meal, not a trick pony on display.
