While I understand why some folks would be bent out of shape about modifying M58s and M520s, I can also appreciate why one would do so. Now that I have old eyes, I will do any such projects on M28s, I think, just because it easier to put big bold sights on them. I have an M58 which has been modified for my needs (old eyes), and since I never plan to sell it, I don't care about a loss in collector value.
