17+ years ago I saw a Nevada State Police marked revolver (.357 mag, stainless or nickle plated,& wood grips) that had been picked up at a swap meet (Rutledge Mo.). I don't remember the make of it but do remember the guy showing it off at a friends folks place. Rutledge used have a colorful reputation, so nobody really looked all that close. Probobly the only reason I remember it. I think a collection like you are talking about would be great.
