i agree they have a prob.. but compairing a rimfire firing oob to a center fire firing oob is 2 totally different things...its very easy to crimp the rim of a 22.. a dirty chamber can do it, a ftf can do it, even a failure to eject the prior round can cause the bolt to pinch the next round... ive only had 1 centerfire fire oob on me and that was due to the primer wasnt set deep enough and the bolt crushed it... just my .02 ...
but saying a rimfire should never fire oob no matter what is like saying a belt fed gun should never cook off a round, it happens... its kinda the nature of the beast if you will... and besides when a round separate and cooks off in a belt fed gun it puts on a nice light show at night and you even get some cheers... (at knob creek anyway)
