Try to find a COMPETENT local watchmaker, else you'll pay out the rear. I pay less than a hundred bucks for service of time-onlies to a local watchmaker first trained at the old Bulova School. Parts are a different matter all together. My watchmaker charges me $10 bucks more for an automatic than for a hand wind. One of the stores that farms their work out to him charges their customers twice what he charges the store.
