I suspect that this has happened to all of us at one time or another.

Train yourself, whether loading casually at the range or running reload time drills with quick loaders, to eject with the revolver vertically, barrel in the air. Burnt powder kernels will be in the case and will eject with the case never getting a chance to get under the extractor.
