I am also active. I carry to work, then when able, I lock it in one of my toolbox drawers until I go home. So I guess, I'm unarmed on the job, but have it nearby, then on me when I come and go from work. I won't leave it in my car.
Like you I can't hide it all day without someone being concerned that
"he has a gun!"
