you have some great advise given to you, I have also shot and carried all of the listed guns. I have found for me I like the power and feel of the M&P 45 or even the glock series in what you are looking for, either the glock 17,19,26, or even the 22,23,27.. just shoot and handle all of them and see what feels best in your hand.
