Less nickel guns of any model were made than blue, so value is generally a bit higher no matter the model.
I'd value the gun you describe at between $1000-1400. That value is based on some I've bought and some I've seen for sale by the more well-known S&W sellers--Lee Jarrett, David Carroll. It's also dependent on actual condition, serial number range (earliest was K260,001) and whether the box is blue cardboard or the presentation style case covered with blue fabric which was used on the first 500 units.
I believe it has a cardboard box with at least one corner torn. Not sure if it has papers or tools, but I believe it has the original vapor paper. I'm going to sleep on it, and give some thought to just how bad I want it.
