I was just over at the Firing Line forum site and a poster there has a link to Lipseys showing two semis from Smith that he (and I) have never heard of. They are something called the "Self-Defense Series" and come in 9mm and 40 Smith. The photos posted by Lipseys show a black polycarbonate framed gun with a black slide that looks a little like a cross between an M & P and a Sigma. It appears to be striker fired. The trigger looks like an M & P trigger but the gun is described as DAO. The grip frame reminds me more of an M & P than of a Sigma but it lacks the beavertail that's built into the M & P frame. The gun comes with a built in accessory rail and with metal sights. Apparently, the front sight has a tritium insert. Anyone heard about these?
