I think NY congress critters and Mayor Bloomberg, are just trying to keep their citizens and taxpayers safe. Need to keep hi-cap .22 RF assault weapon mags out of the hands of children, gang bangers, subway holdup men and like ilk. The 22RF is a real danger because you can carry so much of it in a small package and compared to $1.00+ a round centerfire ammo it is dirt cheap.

Just look at it from the point of view of Mayor Bloomberg, NYs lawmakers, Sen. Chuckie Shumer, Hillary et al., and they are really doing you a favor. You should thank them for being so concerned. Why here in Texas most of our lawmakers don't much care how many bullets our magazines hold, and how wickedly ugly or long arms look. They do have a funny quirk about bayonets for some reason. We are not allowed to carry them.
