Hi I also own a RSR 6592. It is the one that was on Gunbroker a few weeks ago. I had quite a few questions from buyers as could be expected. One of the potential buyers contacted RSR to try to get more info than I could provide. The RSR rep said the guns were just a production run for them with their serial numbers. The guns were made up from second and third gen components. Not much else.

My thought is that the fact that the entire family of guns from RSR is called out in the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson gives a sense of history or that there is something special about this production run.

I have been looking for RSR guns for over year and trying to collect each of them. The prices are fairly high but I don't see much selling. I was fortunate to get my 6592 at a great price though.

I am very happy with my gun. It is a great shooter and nice collectible to me. I was trying to sell mine to pay a few bills but I have decided to keep and enjoy my 6592.
