A little more info on the TL. It has been refinished. When I got the revolver it had a nickeled hammer and trigger along with the old stag grips. I had the hammer and trigger case colored. The refinish was in my opinion done many years ago because it does have holster wear on the refinish which makes it look original factory finish. The letter from S&W does state nickel and 5 inch shipped in 1909.
