No X-ray exposure is absolutely safe. X-ray exposure damage is cumulative. X-ray viewing should never be used unless it is needed for medical diagnostics and disease treatment.

Those most at risk are females who hope to have children at some point in their lives.

When a female is born, she is already carrying all the eggs she will ever have, they are not produced as needed.

Repeated exposure of this reproductive material to x-rays can damage the DNA in the eggs.

X-ray exposure can also trigger cancer development in people with previous cancer incidents. Skin cancer and breast cancer are two of the most common conditions that can be affected.

The cornea is also very susceptible to damage from the radiation from these quick scan machines.

AS a former commercial pilot and airline employee, I will miss flying, but will not step foot on an airliner till this Brave New World is returned to some semblance of sanity.
