As I use a Lee Classic Turret press, I got a Lee 3-die .45 ACP die set that resides in its own turret so I can leave my revolver setup on it. It does a roll crimp, which is fine for the cast bullets I use in the revolver.
The auto rounds are all jacketed and taper crimped in the 4-die set with the FCD.
Unless you changed out your seating/crimp die on the Lee 3 die set, It taper crimps. All Lee Semi Auto dies taper crimp all revolver dies roll crimp.
If your bullets have a cannelure even the taper crimp will force the brass into the grove but it's still a taper.
