The coyote population is booming in my neck of the woods. I know they are pretty good deer hunters. I've come across the remains of full grown deer that have been taken down by a pack of coyotes. I've even witnessed a chase firsthand a few summers back. Generally I believe they stick to smaller critters... rabbits.. squirrels etc.
