#7 What does VE stand for? Someone correct me if im wrong on this but I think it stands for Value Enhanced. Also the F model was the first gen and had the slightly longer barrel and slide.
SW9VE breaks down as follows:

SW = Smith & Wesson
9 = Caliber
V = Stainless Slide
E = Enhanced

Here are the rest (in 9mm):

PRE-1999:

SW9F - Full Size (Original Sigma)
SW9C - Compact model
SW9V - The grey framed stainless slide model
SW9P - Ported model

POST-1999:

SW9E - Enhanced, Melonite slide and barrel
SW9VE - Enhanced, Stainless slide and barrel
SW9GVE - Enhanced, Green Frame, Stainless slide and barrel
SW9GE - Enhanced, Green frame, Melonite slide
SW9VE Allied Forces - Melonite slide but stainless barrel.
