Well guys and gals I passed on the little 660. Not because I didn't want it, but because I found the aforementioned Model 58 S&W!
That said while I was out haunting some of the local shops for more goodies under the tree I ran into a friend of mine who had fallen on hard times. He was in a bind to get some presents for his kids and needed cash. He is a collector of older military firearms and I've known him for years, so I asked what he was selling.
And for $750 I purchased another Lee Enfield in .303 and...an M1 Garand!
