They are an abomination. A freak of gun-dom. Usless for any utility.
The only people who can carry them concealed are NBA athletes.
They won't "twirl" like a 4 3/4 Colt S/A.
As a hunting tool they spook game when drawn.
As a fighting handgun they are too slow to "present" as the modern day "experts" say.
About the only good use I can see for them is that they make great tools for twisting loose fence-wire.
Here's one of mine! A M29-2. And I have an 8 3/8 M27-2 that I want to load full house 125 grain and 110 grain loads in and see how fast they will go. I also want a pristine M57 in nickel. And I have, after this thread, FOUND ANOTHER EXCUSE FOR ANOTHER S&W!!! How 'bout this? An 8 3/8 M48 in .22 magnum. I was looking for an excuse to have a .22 magnum now ya'll have given me one. This forum is great!
