yes, my point is kind of that, the 10/22 action is sweet and reliable (both my old ones are great still, one is from '73 one from '95) but for the price what you get with the sr-22 is a 10-22 with a stock upgrade if I am correct.
for that same price you can do a lot to a used 10-22 if you're so inclined or you can have the full form factor of a real AR including the magazines, the last round hold open, everything. I think the money is better spent on either of those routes than the sr-22
