OM45 ... you need to shoot more cast.
really ... get over that JHP hype and go to cast lead.
Cast bullets carry a fair dose of lube which seems to progressively infiltrate the gun.
Ive yet to discover one gummed up like your 686 or even beginning to show signs of corrosion.
