Default My Regulation Police .38 S&W

I was patrolling out of town for gun shops and stopped in this really trashy looking pawn shop. Spied this little jewel under the glass. Marked "Regulation Police" on the barrel, single line address on the right side of the frame, patent date on the grips, ser. #22927 and caliber .38 S&W. Pretty nifty little gun. Anybody got an idea of the date? Also missing the large headed side plate screw, does anyone know where I can locate a vintage one?

Dug through my junk box and found a neat little holster made by Jay-Pee that fits it perfectly. Ordered an old Pachmayr grip adapter from Gun Broker. Dug in my ammo stash and found a box of factory 146 grain R-P, some factory Winchester, and some British .38-200 service ammo.

I'm going to take it to the farm and test it out this weekend. Any heads ups on the side plate screw would be greatly appreciated.
