The Cor-Bon DPX load uses the Barnes 225 gr. XPB, which is an all-copper HP bullet. I handload this bullet in .45 ACP, seating long and using a heavy taper crimp. I get 1080 FPS, though I don't remember if that's my 3" or 4" 625. If I can get this velocity with ACP brass, then Cor-Bon should be able to safely exceed it in .45 Colt brass. Have you chronographed this load? I would like to know what the real velocity is.
