I just got back from the range where I tested my latest reloads. I had 50 each of Berry's 158 gr FP over 6 gr of Unique and 6 gr of Power Pistol in Federal 357 cases. I couldn't set up a chronograph today but, judging from perceived recoil, both loads were performing about the same as commercial 38 +P ammo. Both provided excellent accuracy. Neither load showed any over-pressure indications and, in fact, the primers the commercial Speer Lawman ammo my wife was shooting showed more flattening than the Winchester primers in my handloads.

The Unique was a lot less dirty than I remember and had much less muzzle flash than the Power Pistol. If the chronograph confirms my perceptions, I will have to re-evaluate my opinion of Unique.

I also blew off a box of the American Eagle 357 magnum just because there is something special about seeing the targets on the adjacent lanes being moved by the muzzle blast from a full bore 357.
