While you don't see them very often, I think there are more then 25 floating around out there and my guess is S & W built them for others besides Ashland. I have two, and neither of them mention Ashland anywhere on the box, although the labels state that they were a special order item.

There are a lot of 469's out there for not much $ that are just dying for a Duracoat finish. I'd leave that one just the way it is or sell it and invest the proceeds in your project gun.
