To be honest it wouldn't bother me. It's not a show piece right? However, see if S&W will swap out the slide since the rollmark is so noticeable. Not sure about the gap, looks fine to me.
If it makes you feel any better, I understand that SR9's can't be dry fired (with out a snap cap anyway) which I, personally, would have more issue with.
I would still take either out and shoot though
