The tools I used consisted of a pair of pliers to easily remove the stock sight. A small file to file the sides down to the point where it would fit the hole in the slide. A drop of loctite blue 242 on the screw threads. And a 3/15 nut driver socket type wrench that came with a computer tool kit. Oh, I also used a gun blackener pen to cover a bit of scratches I put on the base fo the sight when I was filing.

The GL2006 is shorter than the stock sight, so you can expect it to bring your point of impact up on the target. That is fine with me as my 9ve was shooting a few inches low. Now, everyone that shoots my sigma is right on their point of aim.

In the photo you put in your comment, that wide looking base is actually the screw that has been screwed into the base. The base that needs to be filed is actually just under the sight in the photo and you can barely make it out.

Don't forget the loctite.
