Default Triple Lock

My mother in law gave my son her fathers and his great grandfathers S&W .44 spl. Triple Lock revolver this weekend. Our son has been a revolver shooter since the age of three and has a nice collection of S&W Shooters. My mother in law said she wanted a direct blood line grand child who would appreciated it and keep it to have it and he was the only one to fit the bill.
He used to shoot a lot with his great grandfather and they spent a lot of time at the range together. Grand dad as he was called passed away about 20 years ago at the ripe old age of 87. He went to the range the day before and was tired the next day and passed in his afternoon nap.

The gun is a S&W .44spl Hand Ejector "Triple Lock" with a six inch? barrel. Its in about 90% condition as the old man took excellent care of it (as he did all his firearms). Its Serial Number 135XX. It has a little holster wear on the end of the barrel and on the front of a couple of the cylinder chambers (flutes?)..Other than that, the blueing is still like new. The top strap has no cutting on it.

I told him I'd ask some of the more
Knowledgable Members of the forum if they would help with the approximate date it was manufactored or when left the factory. I don't think that value has anything to do with it as its one of those things that will never leave the family. But if any one has any guesstaments I sure he would appreciate it as he'll add it to his insurance policy.

Thanks for any help.
