If your first pick is the .40, then buy that one. A "good deal" on a gun you don't really want isn't a good deal at all.

FWIW, I became a lot happier when I quit worrying about what something was worth to someone else or whether I might save a few bucks buying a similar item at another place or time.

If I want something that's in my hand, I have the money, and it's worth it to me...I buy it.
