After having carried several guns concealed over my 30 year L.E. career, I have returned back to where it all started for me. My 4 inch Combat Magnum is carried (off-duty) in an old, no-longer-made Roger's IWB holster. This old holster is adjustable and has carried several different guns over the years. Even with the front inch or so of barrel and squared patridge front sight sticking out and resting against my hip, it is simply the most comfortable gun I've carried in that position. I've carried a 4 inch N-frame in the same holster and location and it is only slightly less comfortable, due to its increased weight, not "bulk" or "girth". The rounded edges on the revolvers are just more comfortable than squared-edge autos. Just my experience...
