Pigtooth, I think you might be in the wrong forum. Your post might be valid for M4Carbine.net, but this is the S&W M&P 15-22 forum.
This rifle is not a 5.56 AR-15 whose components meet the TDP.
It is not a Colt, a BCM, a DD, a Noveske, or an LMT.
The M&P 15-22 is a range toy and/or a small game rifle. You will not do high risk SWAT entries, you will not take down a meth lab, and you will not engage the Taliban at 400m with this rifle. You should accept it for what it is and realize that people buy it to have fun with it. Once you do, you'll have a blast shooting it and accessorizing it.
