That is a fairly simple repair. Any local custom knife maker should be able to make it look factory new.

It is really just leather work (aside from the disassembly and reassembly) and all the needed tools were once found in nearly every shoe and boot repair shop in the country. Problem is most of those shops are now gone, so a knife maker is your best bet.

The knives aren't made in the US anymore (IIRC), so sending it back to the manufacturer is probably not doable, but worth checking into.
