Default Two piece wooden Hogue grips

When I was young my handgun mentor introduced me to Hogue grips. They were wooden and came apart into two pieces just like factory grips. Later Hogue came out with the one piece monogrip that slides on from the bottom.

The best thing about the two piece grips was they covered the top part of the backstrap but not the rest of the backstrap. That oriented the muzzle of the gun down allowing you to square off your wrist for a more recoil controlling grip.

Does anyone remember those kind of grips? I still have a few sets but have not seen any in a long time. I even bought a gun to get the grips that were on it one time. That is the last pair I have ever seen in the wild.
