Since you have it out, Trace out on paper for a patten, go down to a welding shop and have some body tig weld on it to build it up. Cut down to the size (with help of pattern) you need and get it working, take it out heat and dip in oil (or what ever) to harden it.

I thought of that but am not sure of the original shape because the very end is gone and my memory is fuzzy on the correct angles.
