22 mag ammo is pretty high priced these days, so I don't anticipate any of the big makers doing us any favors. But they probably could build some rounds that would be optimized in short revolvers. We do that handloading all the time, I just don't know how we'd do it with rimfires.
Ok, really I do know. We'd pull the bullets hoping we don't set one off, then use Bullseye, the fastest powder we can get, and try to somehow drill the hollow point to shave a few grains off it.
What we really need is an ammo maker like SuperVel to start up and make us some scorching 22 mag loads. The ones every one screams had hides the women and children when they hear about them.
Maybe they need to replace the powder with C4!
