I had that condition on my left hand (thankfully, as I am right handed) on the index or "trigger" finger. I was advised that surgery was probably the only sure cure.

But, again thankfully, after about two years, it just "went away." My doctor was surprised but said that was not unknown.

If it had been my right hand, I would have done the surgery since, without it, I couldn't have continued to shoot.

They are doing all kinds of cool things now. My friend and my Chiropractor both had the joints of their thumbs replaced because of arthritis. Worked out perfectly for them. I'm "thinking" about it.
