Default Age of Chief's Special

Well,, how 'bout that? I've been trying to date my Chief's Special (or maybe Model 36?) and just stumbled across this forum. Maybe someone here can help.

I purchased this gun new in the late 60s as I recall. It has a pinned barrel, 2" barrel, round butt, blued finish and serial number J827274 on the bottom of the frame. I can't find a model number anywhere on the gun so think it must be a Chief's Special rather than a Model 36.

Can anyone out there tell me about when this was made. Also, it is in almost factory new condition so maybe it's worth something, though I'm not sure I want to sell it. Probably hasn't had more than a hundred or so rounds fired through it and the action is smooth as butter.

Would appreciate any info you can provide to help me date this gun. Let me know if more info is needed. Also can provide photo if needed.
