The 909 was the value series version of the 3904/3906 with an alloy frame and the other features of the 910/410. The same 4" barrel, just a 9rd mag instead of a 15rd mag (well, what it was originally designed for.
Just think if an elephant sat on a 910 and made it a single stack

More than the sights were plastic with the change from the 915/411 to the 910/410. A search for "915 vs 910" should list the major differences.
