Well, to be honest, the frame, other than the sear block, is 4th generation Sigma, and the slide is a combination of M&P (sights & extractor) and Sigma (everything else).

Truthfully the problems you cite are a trigger pin installed backwards (or maybe S&W milled the groove on the wrong end ) and someone possibly shooting +++P+++ loads blowing the slide lock off the pistol (twice!). I can't swear that this one has been put to bed, but if that is the case, then only losing the slide lock as a result of an overpressure is a good thing. Google Glock Ka-Booms for a comparison.

Truthfully, to be totally above-board, mine has been flawless for 1500 rounds, no failures of any kind, very accurate.
