I don't own a Colt SAA .45 Colt but, I do own a Marlin 1894 .45 Colt.
Over the last two years I started reloading and then casting for it. Thanks to that I came to love the caliber for its simplicity and versatility.
My next purchase will be a 25-7 or 25-9 as soon as I'be saved up enough now that my reloading and casting equipment purchases are out of the way.
I just don't feel I'd be happy with anything else.
I've also set aside quite a bit of. 38 Spl, .357 Mag, .45 ACP, and. 45 Auto Rim for myself as I bring home range brass and I've purchased dies and molds for each if the price good or when trading brass.
My thinking is one day given the oppourtunity, I might get a Model 28, 1917 / 1935, or 1911 / 1927 and I'd be set to go.
If I never came to own any of those, I don't think I'd be at unhappy with just the. 45 Colt, or feel like I was missing out.
