At my local gun shop there are currently 3 S&W 44mags in the $500-750/range. 1) 3" 629 stainless for $599, 2) 4" 29 nickel for $599 and 3) 6" 629 stainless for $649. These are the prices on the tags and can be had for at least $50 less. Just keep looking around, you can find it.
