Some things to be aware of with the extended charging handle. Been shooting the AR a while, with the stock lever, it doesn't catch on anything on your chest. If you wear a tactical vest, with mags pouches etc. it will grab and snag. Another, since this is a plastic charging handle, using your left palm to charge your weapon in a tactical situation, you can over power the charging and break the handle (it's plastic). I had a guy bend the stock AR one with a paddle extender latch doing this under stress.
Remember, this rifle is a 22LR and not built with really to full MIL-SPEC on the internals only the externals (and not 100% neither).
I want one also, but have reservations on the abililty of the stock lever. Waiting for the AfterMarket to step in with an Aluminum one in the near future. Good hunting and hope this helps.
