I've got a couple of spare 696 cylinders that I picked up, just in case, but had planned to save them for a 696 Mountain Gun project that probably isn't going to happen. The 296 is my only really lightweight large revolver, so I'm keeping the factory cylinder. Were I to do it, again, I would probably get a 386, as there just aren't enough differences in ballistics between the light .44s and the .38+Ps I would likely carry in it. Though I love .44 Special and don't think I could get rid of one.
