Of course, that was merely an expensive nuisance for him until his most recent screw-up. Anyway, if you're found not guilty in a criminal trial, you may find yourself getting sued in a civil trial. It will depend a lot on how the laws are written by the legislature in your state. I would not be thrilled about NY, for example.
