Then it would be best to call and ask what if anything they would charge if you don't remove the barrel yourself. ((( If you were just asking if the barrel has to be removed to do the work, yes it does ))) Be careful who you have do the work. It's not the same as simply threading a rod. The threads have to be cut centered to the bore to be done properly... and you can't count on the manufacture to have cut the bore center to the barrel. It's not critical if all you want to do is slap a flash hider on it, but if you ever want to put a can on your rifle... a baffle strike will ruin your day and the can.
