Let's see some of those stainless "humpbacks" out there.
Here's my M649-3 that I happened upon last year at a local gun shop (LGS)
while looking for a blued "humpback." When I read on the tag a fair asking price,
as well as "box & papers," and noticed that this gun had a forged hammer & trigger,
I was hooked............
When the J Frame .357 Magnum M649-3 was introduced in 1996 S&W was just starting
to use the MIM parts so only the earlier 649-3's have forged hammer's & trigger's.......
The only thing I've done to mine, besides shooting & carrying it,
was to remove the large, clothes gripping, rubber grips that came on it
and installed something a little more carry friendly........
