I would rather pay $9 more and have Amazon's no questions asked warranty. I could write an essay on how outstanding their customer service is. You click on-line that you have an issue, enter a phone number and in seconds, a real live English speaking person calls you back, offering free return postage and in many cases, pick up at your house. Last time I called Buds, I had grey hair by the time someone picked up and then they told me to call the manufacturer.

Saving $9 is great----for me, that's major lunch money (actually, I.m so cheap I pack a lunch) but I'd still have a bad taste in my mouth if I had a "Customer satisfaction" issue and it took a lot of time, packing, paying postage and other steps to make it right.

Almost forgot~~sometimes, but not always, Amazon price matches....
