For home or SD I like to use what the local leo's use. They have put more ammo to the test then most and use a very good all around ammo. By all around good ammo, I mean they no what will over penetrate or under penetrate, what will go thru a car door what won't, what will work in the summer when people are dressed lightly or the winter when they have many layers of clothes on ect ect . And if you ever find yourself on the defense for pulling the trigger on someone when asked why did you use x brand of ammo its nice to say "cause that's what the police use". I really like the Idea of being able to use that line when a prosecutor is trying to make you look like the bad guy.
